Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is SIMPLIFY ?

SIMPLIFY is a web-based marketing automation workspace. SIMPLIFY Suite includes SIMPLIFY, BRICKS™ and SIMPLIFY|WIDGET™. Using BRICKS, a patented reverse engineering technology, a simplified web site “skin” is abstracted that can be easily authored while working in the SIMPLIFY workspace. Additionally, users simply drag-drop-and-deploy WIDGETS, such as blogs and Google AdSense, and can publish the updated site in hours instead of days, weeks and months. All that’s needed to login to the secure, hosted solution is a computer and web browser.

What is a Widget?

Widgets are self-contained snippets of code that is designed to perform certain task(s).Widgets display information and allow the user to respond in a number of ways.  Typical widgets include buttons, dialog boxes and pop-up windows.

Are SIMPLIFY WIDGET requests secure ?

Yes, our WIDGET requests are secure. The requests are authenticated by the WIDGET server through a complex encoding process. If the WIDGET service request is validated, then the WIDGET Server sends back an HTML response that implements the required service. The result is a simplified security model that allows only trusted and select users to benefit from the WIDGET services.

When uploading templates that I already have on my PC, what type of files can I upload?

You should upload a zipped folder of your templates. The files in the zip folder can include html or dwt templates, CSS files, images and any type of auxiliary files that are used in your templates.

What is a normal region of a template?

A normal region is a region that when changing its content, it only changes in the page where it is located. It is independent from other regions.  This region changes from one page to another.

What is a shared region of a template?

Shared regions are regions that you define to be shared among pages created from one template. If the customer modifies the content of a shared region then the change is automatically propagated all over the pages that have been created out of the same template. Shared regions are ideal for the creation of menus, headers, footers, logos, copyright, etc… shared among your pages.

How do SIMPLIFY WIDGETS work ?

Each of the SIMPLIFY WIDGETS is a marketing application that SIMPLIFY transparently deploys by inserting a JavaScript tag into the web site’s HTML code. Since SIMPLIFY publishes web site pages in pure static HTML form, the JavaScript tags tunnel requests to the WIDGET Server, which in turn returns the appropriate services.
